Background and Identification
The HP Deskjet 3524 is an all-in-one printer capable of printing photos, making copies, and scanning documents. It also has the capability of using ePrint, a service offered by HP allowing the user to print from any device via an email, and Apple’s AirPrint functionality. Additionally, it has a 2” non-touchable LCD display and up and down arrows that allow the user to navigate through menu settings or input a Wi-Fi password. This printer is marketed for personal and small business users.
Weighing in at 11 lbs., it is considered to be a lightweight printer, relatively speaking. It does not come with a document feeder, but relies on its flatbed to scan copies. According to Productz.com, the printer is 5.9 dB loud when printing. The maximum color resolution is 4800 dpi while being able to print 7.5ppm in color and 8.0ppm in black and white. The scanner has a scanning resolution of up to 1200 dpi. It has a maximum number of copies of 50 pages.
As is typical with HP printers, markings on the front right-hand side of the printer allow it to be easily identifiable. Otherwise, the settings menu should contain an About section which will display system details, such as model number.
