Sync button wont work

I have an xbox 360 slim and the sync button isnt working. When I press the button on the faceplate, nothing happens. However, if i take the xbox apart and make an electrical connection between the bottom right corner of the rf module and the piece that is behind the little hole to the right of the rf module, the rotating rings come up and i can sync wirelessly. Any one have an idea what could be wrong? Sorry if my description isnt the greatest but i added a picture. basically I am making a connection between the piece behind the hole and the spot on the board where my camera flash covers

Actually I was able to answer my own question. There's a piece missing from this rf module that the button touches when pressed. Therefore, I just need to replace the board unless I can find the small piece to solder to the module. I'll post pictures thatll show the difference between my broken rf module and one that's working, just in case anyone else has the same problem

My Xbox is just the way it looks on the pic so I cant sync a second controller, where can I find the missing piece?

Actually I was able to answer my own question. There's a piece missing from this rf module that the button touches when pressed. Therefore, I just need to replace the board unless I can find the small piece to solder to the module. I'll post pictures thatll show the difference between my broken rf module and one that's working, just in case anyone else has the same problem — Mike Perry
