Replaced screen now intermittent both touch and image

Just replaced the screen. Now, about 4 times per day, I need to reset the phone before the screen works again. Sometimes the touch stops working, and sometimes the image goes black except for the very top row which rapidly updates (looks like maybe the entire screen is scaled to one row updating one line at a time). Repair went well, using a magnifier to ensure connectors were seated. If I need a replacement, how does that work, and will the same issue happen again?

Just to clarify, did you buy your screen from iFixit? If so it has a lifetime warranty so you'll be covered.

As I mentioned, iFixit has a lifetime warranty on their screens. The one time I had an issue with one of their products their customer service was fast and helpful and resolved my issue with no muss nor fuss. The best way I know of to contact them is via email at support@ifixit.com.

I'd suggest putting your old screen back on to see if the issue goes away (assuming it's functional enough for use). That would point a finger at whether the problem is with the replacement screen or the phone itself. Although iFixit does strive to provide quality products, there's always a chance that a bad apple can slip through for any product.

If you've already tossed the old screen or the old screen works fine, then I'd suggest going ahead and contacting the iFixit Store personnel and seeing about a replacement. Assuming it is an issue with a defective replacement, then there would be no reason to think another replacement would also be defective.

The only way the problem would be the same would be if it was a motherboard issue. There have been occasions when a component next to the connector has gotten damaged in the process of trying to plug the connector back in, so check around the plug for any missing or misplaced parts.
