So recently got this Xbox don’t know if it worked before but it was full of roaches (dead ones no live bugs) so I took it apart and cleaned it before even trying it changed the thermal paste and put it back together when connected to power the fan immediately turns on and console won’t power up hope it’s the power supply but not to sure

Hi there!
It does sound like something on the motherboard died. You could try a new power supply and see if it works, but it does sound like the motherboard unfortunately. What you can do, is to inspect it and see if you can find anything off. Otherwise you do need to run some tests. It could be everything, from ram to some capacitors... If you can share some pictures with us, that would be great! Thanks!

I will get some pictures as soon as possible what are the test that need to be done and how to do them
You can start by testing the capacitors and checking the fuses! Sometimes you can see capacitors failing with the eye. Hopefully it’s something small!
i had a customer with this same issue. motherboard is dead unfortunately. ( for this job anyways) let me know if a new psu fixed yours
