@francisco65180 not having done a polarity check is okay since the polarity is printed on the battery and if your battery had a Red and Black wire, I am sure that they installed it right. If you want us to check the polarity, take a couple of good pictures of the battery and the wiring. Then post those with your Question Adicionar imagens a uma pergunta já existente

Just because your battery showed 3V does not mean that it has enough power to turn on your headset. First you want to check your power supply. Make sure it has the proper voltages. Check to make sure that the connectors are not bend etc. Check the DC-in jack of your laptop. Make sure there is no corrosion, debris etc. that prevents it from working. Clean it of any debris etc, use a few puffs of air to clean it out. If none of this works, get an ammeter and see if your headphones draws any amperage from the charger.

Do not forget to check the switch. If you can use a multimeter and see if that works.

@oldturkey03 Hey thanks for answering.

Let me answer what you said:

>not having done a polarity check is okay since the polarity is printed on the battery and if your battery had a Red and Black wire, I am sure that they installed it right

I verified by opening it up that the polarity was installed wrong in comparison to https://youtu.be/Ju4J-ZwKsb8&t=207 this video tutorial (at 3:26-3:27) he shows how the battery on the right its the original one and the left its the replacement and mine was like the replacement one... and connected...

side note: the guy who change it forced the connector downward and its was almost 45° tilted from the board. I verified connectivity since by connecting the battery and testing the pins on the back with the multimiter.

>First you want to check your power supply. Make sure it has the proper voltages. Check to make sure that the connectors are not bend etc.

Its micro-usb and I have used the brick to charge it before. The led should show a color whenever its empty or full.

I am going to verify the power button with the multimeter but the fact that the led doesn't turn on at all doesn't fill me with confidence.

First I am going to leave it charging for an hour to see if anything happens... if its fried it cannot get worse...

@francisco65180 that is for sure. Whatever has happened, happened. Check the circuit board and see if there are any components that may look like they could have been damaged by wrong polarity. I would expect that there is a diode that should have prevented this to begin with...
