Component removed from acer laptop motherboard

Whenever I turn the laptop on, whether it's plugged in or unplugged, the laptop turns on for a second and then shuts down immediately. I tried to perform a -hard reset by unplugging the -battery and then pressing the -power button for about 20-40 seconds and then reinsert the battery but nothing worked.

Then I noticed this "black and white" thing and the black part was pressed down. Then I tried to move around the "black" part around its position (forward and backward direction ).

--- Suddenly the laptop is working

During this process I accidentally removed the whole "black and white" component from its position. Still the laptop is working but some of the keys in keyboard not responding.

--- still now the laptop keeps shutting down without any reason. now i had to unplug the battery and re insert it to power on the device again

what is this component and what is the purpose of this?

i have no nearby technicians around me
