Cannot snap screen back on after battery replacement

Not sure which video you followed but with all things being equal, if the state of the phone is the same after screen removal and battery replacement, then the screen should easily slip back into place.

There are many areas that can cause problems with inserting the screen back into place, firstly it would be prudent to review the iFixit guide for battery replacement and make sure that you have indeed followed steps and read comments (blue link) at the bottom of each step.

If you have checked all of these and properly cleaned any prior glue from under old battery, phone body and back edge of screen, then you need to establish at which point the screen is being held up.

When closing the screen, the top end should tuck in and under.

The flex should not be fouling on the edge of body.

The tabs on the bottom of the screen for securing the screen with the two screws you first removed are not being held up because a tab is bent.
