Can any Xbox one laser work with a Xbox one model

Hello, I have a question about the Xbox One models and that's if any Xbox One disc laser works with any Xbox One model for example could an original Xbox One laser work with an Xbox One S or Xbox One X which is why I'm wondering because I got an original Xbox one laser coming in the mail for my Xbox one but if I can get a one s or one x on eBay that has a broken laser I would buy one of those to have a better more powerful console.

The answer is: no. The Xbox One, One S and One X are using different drives!

I disassembled multiple Xbox One, S and X consoles and they are different.

For example:

Xbox One Original: DG-6M1S

Xbox One S: DG-6M5S-01B

Xbox One X: DG-6M5S-02B

The Xbox Original is using a different drive. While the One S and One X consoles their drives are slightly different. Maybe the lasers between the One S and One X are interchangable, but I won’t take the risk anyway.

So best to do is to order a new laser specific for the Xbox One Original console!
