Greenpan Slow cooker | I cannot get it put back together

I need help in re-building the one thing you should never do with a slow cooker. Pull it apart. I have a Greenpan Slowcooker.

THE PROBLEM

Excess spillage made me think I could clean the inner area of the slow cooker. I dismantled it but cannot get it back together.

BACKGROUND TO THE PROBLEM

I was cooking one day, and an overflow seeped into the slow cooker's inner area. I've cleaned the inside of slow cookers before so had a go with this one. Big mistake. I cannot get it back together. A load of $$$ was spent so worthwhile putting it back together. It works fine, but geez, there are more screws and cables affixed to various metal pieces. I wonder how the hell it was put together in the first place!

WHAT I THINK IS THE SOLUTION

There is a way, technique even, to get into the really hard areas of these types of electronics. Or, it is just too complex, it is a job for somebody with loads of time to help put back together.

Your video is helpful but it is not easy to see how to fix or disassemble it.. When it boiled over it could gave caused an electrical short at the wires or the control circuit board that git wet.

@nest2g Thanks so much for your help here. There was no electrical short at all. Just my OCD in trying to clean the inner area of the slow cooker.

@nickpape That green and yellow cord is the ground wire and should be affixed where you see the ground symbol at 1:45. If you think the overflow didn't get into the electronics, I would reattach that ground "fork" terminal to the casing using the screw and some of the washers left in the pot. Alternatively, for testing, you could just stick the "fork" part of the ground wire down with metal tape.

The decision is up to you. If you don't think the liquid seeped into the electronics, give it a test. Otherwise, we'll need to see the back of the electronics section to figure put how to remove it.

Thank you so much for the reply Andrew. Super helpful. I find it impossible to put the wires back where they go as the inner unit is so tightly connected to other areas of the outer casing. Feel like a machine has put it all together vs. a human. The access routes are only for those with small fingers!
