Found Touch Bar is not functioning at all (completely dark and no response) on my 2019 16" MacBook Pro, can't find TouchBarServer from activity monitor. I did try the followings:
Is there a way can confirm if this is due to hardware failure or software issue?
Any thoughts?

Than you Dan! By the way, if it is hardware issue, is it relatively easy to repair or fix?
@cxz - It depends! Is the display cracked, the panel driver or the touch controller?
The panel is quite hard, the driver and controller are not T bad but does require taking the main logic board out and all three parts are not cheap!
@danj — Hello Dan, Display is perfect, no cracks. I knew how to remove the logic board from this model. Are the driver and controller separated components and easily to be removed and replaced? Just want to see if it is worth of doing repairs. And also, is there a simple way to do screen brightness and volume adjustment easily without going to system preference panel? Thanks again.
@cxz - I find a good straight edge and a strong light can help in checking a crack display. Often the backside of the panel fails as that side is quite brittle. So you often won’t see the damage.
Review MacBook Pro 16" 2019 Teardown there you will see the two daughter circuits which connect to the TouchBar panel.
