PS4 wont automatically pop up on t.v. when turned on.

Bought my t.v. and Ps4 at the same time 4 years ago . Everything was working fine till 3 days ago my t.v. updated and now when i turn on the Ps4 it doesn't pop up on the t.v. What i have to do is turn Ps4 on then turn t.v. off then back on for the Ps4 to show up. I already tried unplugging everything. I went through the settings on t.v. and Ps4 and couldn't see anything that changed. Any ideas how you could help me ? Thanks ...
