No illuminating on my screen and with the flashliht I ll see

I have a Macbook A1342 production november 2009, and Is no llluminating on the screen but with a flashlight Ill see all the function, I hook my laptop on an external lcd and is working as well, Pleasee!! Help me with it cuz I heard about could be a inverter board but in this model I assumed is not the same than the others model please i need your help.....
