Left AirPod Pro - No Power - Possible Battery Defect?

Hey guys. I recently purchased a pair of AirPods Pro’s from eBay marked as “Unable to pair”. It had a pulsing white light as soon as you open the case. I was able to get the case + right pod working (I may write a guide on this repair later) but haven’t messed with the left pod yet. The left one has no power whatsoever, both my case and a known good case don’t recognize it. No, it’s not the contacts on the case or pod. The eBay seller said they got it from an Amazon return pallet, the pods are in mint condition and it seems like the left AirPod may have came dead on arrival. Is it possible for the battery to be defective? I can do a battery replacement, but i would like to hear from others before trying it.
