So basically I have an spen, when I hover it over my screen the blue dot shows and it doesn't work unless I apply a bit of pressure, even when I slide it back in the slot it shows that my s pen is not inside the slot.

The "pressure" may just be triggering the touch screen and not have anything to do with the pen itself.
Can you run down the pen battery and put it back into the slot and see if it charges? If so, it is either broken wires or a motherboard/daughter board problem.
