If there was a spark, take a good close look around the battery connector and see if you can see any signs of burn, or damage. Use a different phone's camera for a better look, if need be. You may get some magnification out of it, Post some pictures if you can.

There are a couple of things that could have happened here, but it's hard to know for sure without a visual.

Did you use something metal to disconnect the battery?

Hi, ill try to get some visuals on here by 10 AM CET

@mynameiswh51511 More than likely the metal tweezers was the downfall. Its tempting to user something metal. But honestly, fingernail is my preferred disconnection for most things for this reason.

Not seeing anything in the pictures, but it was worth a look.

My guess is that if you're not getting any power, something like is short to ground, and likely an issue with the board. You can check to see if the Battery power rail has been damaged if you have a multimeter handy. Check resistance to ground on the bottom of the two test points near the antenna connector here. It's the little gold circle on the board, that's sort of hiding behind the antenna cable in your first picture.

If resistance to ground is low (close to zero ohms) probably that's the issue.

@flannelist Hi, thanks for all your advice. I'm quite new to repair so dont have most of these tools, i use a Moray Driver Kit, a guitar pick and a pair of tweezers for most of my work.

I found out today that the LCD cable has ripped so thats definitly a reason.

I think that either thats actually what happened and it was just the tweezers catching the light OR both things happened.

Anyway ill need a new LCD at least.

Luckily we dont need the phone and i was just tinkering (my sister uses an Iphone XR now)

Thanks again for all your help.
