White MacBook water damaged,is it fixable?

So my MacBook 2010 13” got water damaged 8 years ago in 2015,and i want to fix it,but only if i can recover the HDD

here is where the water hit

İ know it will be worth it as this was my favorite most valuable Mac i have ever owned

İm just asking if its fixable and which parts could have been damaged

Update 1:İ still havent fixed it as i had to deal with my car related problems but now i think i will fix another computer of the same model and see what works like that

İm planning on switching to this completely

Hi

If it’s the data your after there is a chance that the hdd might not be affected but I cannot confirm that

If you remove the hdd and use a adapter you can check out some of the data if it’s survived

Also if you fully disassemble the machine using this guide

you might be able to see everything that’s been effected and it could be fixable by cleaning the damaged with isopropyl alcohol However in most cases it usually needs professional reworking

İ think it does need a professional touch,but i know a professional,so no problem with that

İ remember the water was spilled exactly between F5 and F6

The reason i think it needs a professional touch is because i took it apart to see if the fans spun for even a milisecond and no signs of life exist

Might be because it hasnt been charged fully since it died,might have caused a short circuit because i tried turning it on right after i spilled water on it

But i do think it is fixable

Best of luck with it,I would get it seen to by a professional if your unsure,I can’t guarantee anything but your data could be fine as the hdd sits beside the trackpad…fingers crossed:-)
