Is it okay to not put in all the screws for iPhone

I lost some of my screws to my iPhone during its battery replacement, most notably, the 1.2 and 1.6mm screws holding the screen cables in place. Will this cause trouble down the line or am I good to go? Just asking so I do not have to disassemble it to reconnect those wires, as those cables have been a nightmare to get working.

it's doable, but not recommended. i definitely do not recommend it.

every screw and bracket serves a purpose and keeps components or connectors in their proper place.

if this is a one-time repair, i'd suggest checking out mobile sentrix, injured gadgets, wholesale gadget parts, or even ebay, to find a complete screw set for the model phone you need. plug your gaps, then keep the extra screws as spares for future repairs.

good luck

Ideally they'd be better replaced as a knock or drop further down the line could loosen a connector.

When you forget screws you put your gear at greater risk of damage. As the screws help unitize the physical structure so it won’t warp or bend or allow liquid and dust from entering.

So I personally would put all the correct screws back in if I want the phone to last as long as possible.

Technically, you could do this, however as the people above me said, it could damage the phone. I tend to leave some screws out of the things that I fix, however they aren’t phones.
