Battery does not charge(USB port and battery are OK)
Controller works fine as long there is charge in the battery. When battery dies controller can be connected via cable and it works fine. Motherboard is 050 revision. I have another motherboard and I have tested that battery charges with same charging port and with same flex cable just fine. I swapped TC7736FTG what I think is charge controller IC but no change. I have not found any short circuits. Is there some kind of feedback signal from battery? I think that charging circuit is believing that battery is full and won't charge because of that. When I connect this controller to my PC and use ds4windows program it shows that battery is at 100%.

Connect the controller to a charge cable with the battery removed. Measure the voltage across the battery connector on the board with a multimeter.

Looks like my faulty board has 0V at battery connector when plugged to the charger and good one has ~3,3V. Have to find out where it comes from.

I can’t remember what the board looks like but I’d look to see if there is a fuse anywhere near the charge port. Check the pins on the charge port are soldered solid under magnification if you can. Apply a little sideways pressure with a needle or pin to see if there’s any movement. If there is it needs resoldered. Joints can crack over time. Check the battery connector joints too. Might be worth re flowing them if you can.
