Every vehicle marketed for the USA performs emissions self tests every time the engine is started, vehicle driven. When battery power is disconnected, emissions parameters are erased from memory. Do not disconnect battery power again. You'll have to drive your car in varied conditions; stop and go traffic, highway, etc. Just drive the car normally for a few days and if you have a reader, plug it in to display whether or not readiness monitors have passed (coolant temps, O2 sensors cycling, etc.). Good readers will display readiness monitors and display READY or NOT READY. There are around 8-11 monitors.
