every time i enter the password it tell me that you are unable to log in to the user account " user name" at this time
Ron, Is there and Apple Store near you? They can enable another master user account and you can migrate your information to it. That seems to be a good solution.

You could try using a mac os install disk, and use the reset password utility. If you are locked out of the firmware, then you can reset the PRAM by holding command+option+p+r simutaniously during the chime until it chimes 3 times.

You might try and enter "root" as your user name and then the password you think it is. Give it a try
and if it works go to Accounts in the " system preferences" and verify your user names.
