I've opened up my controller and checked to see what it could be. But i do not see any reason why the button is not responding when i put it back together. I have cleaned the the casing the pad and everything the ps button touches but no response

Here’s some pictures, unfortunately I can’t add any videos longer then 30 seconds so this is the best I can show for now. But I managed to fix the orange light problem by replacing the battery of the controller.

I haven't fixed it yet, i still cannot identify the problem. I thought this chat room would help as it is very informative with issues on gaming equipment. Hopefully someone can give me some insight

When you plug it in, does the light bar slowly light up orange then quickly flash off one time? If so then it’s the same issue as mine. Can’t seem to find any insight or answers for this. I even tried swapping battery from a known working dualsense; didn’t work.
I bought the Dualsense controller for use with my iPhone, until I can afford a ps5 console. There is even less information and answers out there for people with an issue but no console… please update if you have found anything.

@gamechan you might need to open it back up.
have you checked that all connectors are fully on?
are any cables torn?
did you damage any components?
could any of the componets have been affected by ESD (electric static discharge)? (you can check by seeing if your workspace is has a sticker or anything like that that claims to be esd safe, or if the table you worked on was completely wood, lol)
