Just got a Replacement Battery from iFixit put in, "Not Charging"

My Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon's battery was reporting that it was running at 81% of full capacity, so I decided to break down and order a new laptop battery. I knew about iFixit's reputability when it comes to DIY repairs, and it seemed like this would be a relatively easy swap considering my electrical background. Everything went according to plan, but now that it's in the laptop the upower command returns that the battery capacity is 0%, and when it's maximally charged it's still 0%.

Did I get a dud battery, or is there something obviously wrong with what I'm doing.
