Hi Ronwilliams,
This solution may sound insane, but trust me on this. Try TAPPING the bezel of the T.V. where the screen is dim with a hammer.
TAP THE HAMMER, NO HARD-HITTING!!!

@ronwilliams835 half the screen meaning top or side half? When you say all tubes light up, are you referring to all of your backlight LEDs being on?

Left half of screen has dim pitcher and all horizontal florescent tubes light up.

@ronwilliams835 check the voltage on your power board to the backlight. Make sure that the voltage is the same.
