Do I need to change wifi antenna assembly?

I replaced the battery and while opening up the screen, I tore off the wifi antennas from its assembly. However, the wifi still works after putting it back together.

The one thing I am confused about is, on this model, the antenna do not connect to anything on the motherboard, or am I mistaken?

There is a little metal piece on the bottom of the assembly (3rd pic) which connects to the motherboard but that piece does not attach to the antenna whatsoever.

I have attached some photos of what the antennas and the assembly look like in my case.

I came to your same questions as I cannot find any contact surface for the supposed antennas. Anyway my antennas are a little damaged as the ones in the pictures of the guide as it's impossible to save them from scratching in the opening procedure.

Could you even find a replacement for this metal parts ?

The metal part is the connector; if you are close to the router you might have some functionality but it probably is pretty poor. I think yes, you need to replace them, there is some degree of protection built in but I wouldn't court on it being enough with no antennae attached, operating wifi without them may, (probably will) damage the internal circuitry. If it IS working at a distance from the router I will be very surprised and stymied too. Do you "have to" no, not if you never try to use the wifi. Good luck, and happy fixing!

The only thing is how does the metal piece and antenna connect together? There is no direct connection, that i can see.

The pictures on this listing may be helpfull in figuring this out too, I'm NOT recommending the seller, shop around. The businesses section here may work for that too, this was just the best pictures I could find. Sorry for the slow reply, it was night here.
