Kenmore Elite 110.87727702 Dryer overheating and heating on air dry

I have a 13 yo Kenmore Elite Dryer 110.87727702 and my dryer wouldn’t run. My dad took it apart, tested the thermal fuse and it was dead. Since it was apart he replaced the rollers, belt, and thermistor and dampness sensors. Put it back together, plugged it in and it worked for two minutes and the heating element went. Yesterday he replaced the element, but on extra low and air dry the clothes were so hot they burned me. Two loads later the dryer stopped working and the sensing / revising est. time light came on and today F23 popped up. Checked outlet thermistor and it was bad, replace it and still running hot. The thermal fuse also blew again after replacing it, so my dad has it bypassed. I will get a new on tomorrow. I’m afraid the control board may be bad. Any suggestions/testing methods would be GREATLY appreciated!
