Can I use fantastic elastic glue for a rubber foam replacement?

Can i use fantastic elastic glue on my 10’ subwoofer cone to replace the perished foam around the woofer with a ruber one?

Not an expert on speaker repairs but there are some considerations to be aware of. Genuine woofers (not the typical 6" car door speakers) like yours move the cone several millimeters for bass sounds. This means the cone must move freely from whatever suspends the outer ring. Special cone support like foam seals are usually designed to allow maximum up/down movement of the cone. Using any off the shelf seal may alter bass sounds, permanently damaging great bass. Perhaps writing to the manufacturer or search online may reveal the correct flex sealer to restore your woofer back to sound operation.

Probably not. Modern rubber surrounds can sometimes be repaired with butyl sealant but the older foam surrounds aren't really repairable and they'll continue to deteriorate over time even if they're repaired. You can, however, replace the perished foam surround with either a new foam surround or a more modern rubber surround. That's part of the reconing process and you can sometimes find reconing kits for your specific subwoofer model. A speaker reconing specialist can make that repair for you. But you likely won't be able to repair the failing foam surround yourself. Once it stars disintegrating, the only real option is surround replacement.
