iPhone 7 destroys new batteries?

I replaced the old low capacity battery with a new one. Everything worked for about 3 days, after the iphone ran out of power and shut down. It wouldn't turn on anymore, I thought I had purchased a low quality battery. So I bought a new one.. iphone worked, went to charge normally.. then I let it discharge until it turned off and then it wouldn't turn on again. Same problem.. does anyone know what could be wrong? When I plug it into the charger nothing happens I just hear a slight popping sound. Any problem on the motherboard? (As long as I didn't let the iphone completely discharge it worked completely normal and went to charge, maybe it was just discharging a bit faster.)

This is less likely to be an issue with the phone killing batteries, but more likely to be an issue with the phone not being able to charge a battery that is dead. The popping sound is a bit disconcerting? But, it sounds like when you replaced the battery you may knocked some of the little components near the connector off.

If you have a multimeter you can do some checking in the connector, but realistically I think you’re better off just having a look. Visual exam first in my experience. Peel back the foam sticker around the battery connector and have a look in this area. See if you can tell if anything is missing or damaged. The components are REALLY tiny so something with some magnification will help.
