Am I okay to use a lighter/igniter to remove camera glass lens cover?
Thinking about getting a lighter and putting it over the back camera lens to remove the adhesive. Is this okay?

To answer your question.
Personally I would NOT use a lighter for anything but starting a fire.
You don’t say why you want to remove it - which would help us, a great deal, to help you.
Have you studied the tear down?
