Hi...... I have a similar problem:
New battery (last one became very swollen!) & new thermal paste courtesy of Ifixit (still using the original hard-drive but looking to replace that too), yet laptop still running worryingly hot.
Can anyone point to what might be my issue....?

I don't see any issues here.
Did you run diagnostics? Restart your system press the D key did you get any errors?
