my brand new Kobo Clara hit the floor and seems to have physical damage on the screen. Any tip on where to get the replacement screen and replace it?

Kobo Clara HD screens have started popping up on AliExpress. I made a thread on Twitter about my experience replacing a screen, but it’s largely the same as with a Kobo Aura HD for which there is a guide on iFixit. Good luck!

I tried replacing the screen. Unfortunately the screen is glued to the back frame across the whole surface. Unlike in step 7 of the following guide where it is only fixed in four small strips. Due to this, removing the screen cleanly from the frame is very hard. For me, this resulted in small splinters of glass everywhere and I gave up.
