So I’m going to take my ps4 to be fixed tomorrow but will be short on time tomorrow morning. Because of this I’m planning on taking the ps4 apart now to have the motherboard ready to go. Can leaving it out overnight affect anything?

No. Nothing will be affected. Just make sure its in a well secured area

I also needed one of my thermal pads replaced Because it had fallen off but the person in the shop said that I should be fine using a piece of plastic. That doesn’t sound right to me. I also read somewhere you might be able to replace the pad with thermal paste? I’m very confused right now
