Does having filtered water affect the machine operation

It seems that ever since I got filtered water and reverse osmosis water my machine leaks. Until now I thought it was the machine but after the 3rd replacement I am thinking it might be my water. I stopped using the reverse osmosis but it is still doing it with the filtered water. Do I need to just use plain tap water to stop it from leaking? And would it be okay to use the filters?

I always use filtered water in mine and have never had an issue. I would think using filtered water would be better for the machine.

This just seems coincidental. Filtered water has less minerals and would be less likely to cause buildup in supply lines.

I have a system that ive used daily without a problem with R/O water. Chlorine in city water will and does damage your appliances especially rubber seals in appliances , also Reverse Osmosis produces mineral free basically soft water. Without sodium introduced. Also more reason what goes down the toilet comes out the tap!!! Return your machine quality control is the issue the mfgs even have some units that require or urge you to use their filters to clean water before brewing ?
