Certain keys are not working after keyboard replacement.

I replaced the keyboard in my mid 2012 macbook pro because the power button in the old one was no longer working. After replacing the keyboard the power button is working fine but the f key, [ key, and screen brightness control keys are not working and will occasionally produce a string of random characters with one push. I have tried resetting the SMC with no results. Has anyone had this problem and/or know of a potential solution?

Where was the keyboard bought from? It sounds like a faulty keyboard.

Edit: Contact iFixit for a warranty replacement. That keyboard is faulty:

The keyboard is from ifixit, but it was A stock, not new. Do you think it is worth purchasing another keyboard and trying again?

Contact iFixit for a warranty replacement because a replacement keyboard should most definitely not have non-working keys or keys pressing by themselves.
