TV shows top half picture, bottom half black, is it fixable?

I have a Panasonic, Viera LED TV. It has never had a problem since l brought it about 10 years ago.

Recently, l turn my TV on, and the top half of the screen is a picture, while, the bottom half is a black screen. It appears like this for approximately 5 seconds before it quickly turns into a whole black screen. At this point, it appears to be off but within 3 seconds the top half of the picture and the bottom half black screen, appears again for about 5 seconds before the whole screen turns all black again. It only repeats this twice and then stays all black, turned off.

When the TV is turned back on again, the above process repeats itself, twice, again.

What might be the problem? Can this be professionally fixed?
