How to get to Bumper switch?

I can't seem to figure out how to get to the bumper's connection point. I want to check this because my right bumper works inconsistently. For example, my boost button in Rocket League is bound to this, and holding it down makes it work for a minute, then it stops and starts on its own repeatedly. If I could get an answer as to how to get to this mechanism and how I could fix my issue that would be greatly appreciated.
