Where can I buy a new PRAM battery?
My PRAM battery is dead. All I can find are used ones. Why would I want to put a used battery into my Mac (with no guarantee of how long it will last?). Where can I find a NEW PRAM battery for sale? Is it possible to recharge a PRAM battery and/or is it possible that there is an ordinary coin battery inside that little sheath, and if so is it possible to get it open so as to pop in a new battery? Would it have to be soldered to the wires? (If so, no problem)
Why does it seem like Apple is intentionally trying to make my life difficult? Whatever happened to just using plain old CR 2032 batteries for the PRAM, that can easily be replaced? Are they worried that they aren't making enough money, so they feel they have to gouge us every step of the way?
Esta é uma boa pergunta?

''''Hey, thanks rj713! I appreciate your effort! That does look like a promising potential replacement, and it's not too pricey at that. I may just give that a try.

Dave, did you succeed in replacing your PRAM dead battery with the 3.3v coin battery that rj713 proposed? Did it fit properly in the blue jacket? If not, do you have more specs to give about the right coin battery to use? Thank you.

Damien, NO I did not get a chance to try it. I just ended up buying a new MacBook 17 instead, and gave the old one away. If you decide to give it a try, please let us know if it works for you! ;)
