iPhone XS Replacement Screen Quality

I cracked my iphone XS screen. I fell on it when ice skating. Screen looked fine, just cracked lens.

I replaced the screen following the tutorial and using the ifixit replacement screen. After spending two days with it, I’ve noticed lower quality and I don’t believe it’s just that True Tone is not working. The viewing angles are not as good and whites seem grainy.

Is this potentially an error in assembly, damage during reassemble, or are the replacement screen lower quality than the original?
