Repair unresponsive touchscreen with an new LCD? (Surface Book)

I have a problem with the touchscreen of my Surface Book. It doesn't react to my finger or the surface pen. It doesn't work in Windows and UEFI.

In the device manager under Firmware/Surface Touch there is an error sign (code 14) which tells me to restart the Surface Book. But if I do that nothing changes.

I already reinstalled all surface drivers and made a fresh installation of Win10 with all the updates. The UEFI is on version 91.2706.768

Can I get the Touchscreen working again by replacing the LCD or might something else cause the problem?
