Installed new SSD, random kernel panics

Hi all.

So I was recommended by most people that if I was to extend my MacBook Pro’s storage, I would use one by Sintech. So I bought one, and I also bought an ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 NVMe SSD 512GB from PCCaseGear. It worked fine for a while, yet it freezes up and kernel panics. It does the same thing when I close the lid and try use it again. This is the error report: https://pastebin.com/P9tWsfDL

What should I do?

Did you read the product details when buying the adapter?

-problem - sleep/standby on 2013/2014 macs:those mac aren't able to resume from deepsleep/hibernation with NVMe drives. This problem also occurs on the same mac with genuine Apple NVMe SSDs.Resolution of the problem:problem can be solved by disabling hibernation, which is done by typing "sudo pmset standby 1" as following:

In short entering the command “sudo pmset standby 1” in terminal should fix this problem with sleep / hibernation.

This didn't fix it for me.

@benjamen50 - The report is also in error ;-} The Real Apple SSD's don't encounter this issue, Only M.2 drives have this problem as they don't have an active sleep line unlike the real Apple SSD's

M.2 drives also wear much faster than real Apple SSD's or SSD's that are properly designed (OWC & Transcend). While attractive price wise don't depend on them.

@alexellwood - You'll need to reformat and install a fresh copy of OS as drive now has a corruption in the cache.

@danj I'll try that. I'll let you know in a day and see if it gains any better. Thanks, Dan.

@danj When I do this, do I do it from Recovery mode or from a USB?
