New battery is not charging

Phone was purchased from Boost as a refurbished phone (derp). After owning it about 3 months or so it stopped charging, after entering the machine to my (un)surprise the battery was bloated.

Replaced the battery AND the charging port (as a precaution) and re-assembled the phone. Low and behold the first battery I ordered from fleebay was dated 2017 and was bad, so I ordered another one. This one from a phone part vendor is from late 2018 (yay) and the phone now powers on again!

HOWEVER now the phone either A) when plugged in with a known good oem charger or B) wirelessly charged, does NOT climb battery percentage, but indicates charging normally.

SO, is this ANOTHER bad battery? or should I consider a bad charging circuit?
