Small hole in the outer layer of Oneplus One battery

I bought a new battery for my Oneplus One, and while replacing it I had to peel off the red outer layer of the to reposition the ribbon cable which was misaligned. I got the cable aligned and stuck the sticker back as best I could, but now there’s a slight tear in the red sticker around the top right corner of the battery, maybe 1-1.5 mm in diameter. No smell came from it either.

Could this be an issue? Is the outer red layer of the battery important?
