Mac turns on, but will not charge battery and no green LED

Pretty new so please be gentle

Bought a (probably) liquid damaged Macbook, motherboard number 820-2530-A. Cleaned it down and got it running again with a new battery etc. but it only trickle charges the battery (about 3-4% per hour) and there is no green LED showing on the charger.

It turns on, runs fine, sees the battery and how much power it has, sees that there is power coming in and is able to run off of the power lead.

I got equipped with schematics, boardview and youtube research and chased the 1-wire circuit through for shortages. Verdict was AND gate U6901 is constantly shorting to ground on pin 2, temperamentally on pin 1 and not at all on pin 3 .

My planned steps are now to change out U6901 for new as I have read that it can fry easily, but hoped that if someone had any better ideas on here they would be able to point me towards them.
