Why is my device unable to connect without memory cards

What happens / what can I do to fix my verizon ellipsis 8 4G LTE reconnection knowing I have waited for the internet & my tablet to reboot and have now reached poor signal & Verizon Wireless mobile charges even with my prepaid mobile data turned off???
