Can you put a g4 motherboard into a G3 ibook?
Basically do a motherboard swap? i have a 12" G3 iBook.

Hi! No, it's not something that is realistic to do, and you're better off buying a dead G4 on eBay or CraigsList to put the G4 board into. Some of the screen cabling is different, the topcase has different connectors, and G4s use different optical drives and DC-ins, just to name a few of the problems you'd run into.
