Removed battery but phone still smells like sickly sweet citrus

The guide says that any device that has come into contact with a lithium battery leak should be disposed of. Would wiping down the frame with water be sufficient in cleaning it? There are cables and gaps which expose the back of the digitizer in the frame as well.

@meerkat I see now. If there are any electronics that were by that battery then your phone may be a goner. Take a picture of where the battery was and upload it so I can get a feel of what may be damaged. Adicionar imagens a uma pergunta já existente

The only electronic nearby was the frame with the screen and a few flex cables. Hopefully it is okay.

@meerkat From what I see you should be able to use your phone without any troubles. Of course, you will need a new battery.

Alright, I'll clean it up and wait for the battery to arrive. Also, I have another question. I cleaned up my logic board (which did not come into contact with the leaking battery, it was sitting on table beside me when i tried to get the battery off) with 99% Isopropyl alchohol, but there is still a stain on the shields on the board. I first thought those stains were from water damage and would come off but it's still there.
