that's not an intelligent answer to the question of why it keeps shutting down after only a minute or 2 then will restart and stop again..over and over
on a full charge.
with a clean filter
and is relatively new.

The filter has been replaced with a new one. It can't be a capacitor overheating for ½ a second then cool down enough to turn immediately back on. It's cannot be the battery as I tested It's power supply after a full charge and it's fine. My hand vac is doing exactly as @mister2tim has stated his is doing. My vac is in great shape for being such a workhorse it's been in the 3 or 4 years since I bought it new on Amazon. I'm not a person to just bin something when it can hopefully be repaired. My mom would take her waffle iron to a small appliance repair shop when it fritzed out. I own that waffle iron now. The date on the bottom is 1947! I've had to replace the cloth covered cord because it was old & nasty. For 76 years it still is making waffles! Not those single square waffles modern machines make. This makes 4 - 4" waffles, 2 top, 2 bottom. I doubt the hand vac will last 76 yrs, but I'm not willing to give up yet!
I have the exact same problem with my Dust Buster. It seems to me that it is some kind of thermal protection malfunction for the batteries or motor.

We have the same hand vacuum and it is a great unit. When the battery has run down it will stop and should be recharged. If you have totally done a good clean and nothing is in the rear vent, the filter is clean then it should run fine. However should it be a plugged filter and can not suck in it may overload the motor, drop the voltage and auto turn off. It has a setting to save the battery from trying to run when the battery is discharged so it will not ruin the battery. Ok with all this said the other reason would be a faulty battery, will not charge enough to run before it senses a lo battery. If your device is with in the warranty period they will replace the battery. There is no replacement battery part. The battery is actually several cells to add up to the voltage needed and a smart person could actually purchase batteries and solder them in for a repair.

so if the battery is gone u cant get a spare. so might as well through it in the bin if cant get the part. that no good is it. wont be buying another one of these them.
Very unhappy will throw mine away and buy another brand, that has replaceable parts or service.

Yes, it shuts down and blinks. If you turn it off and then on it will work again.

The battery is fine and no clogg in filter but unit keeps turning off. Only 4 months old.

mine show fully charged on the lights .it runs for about two mins and goes off. turn it back on and exactly the same. shame as it a good cleaner.but look like i.l have to chuck it in skip. can use it like that.
