Is there a fix for inconsistent touchscreen errors?

Hi All,

My ZMax Pro is just over a couple of years old, and just today started some really frustrating touch screen behavior. It will inconsistently register a swipe as a tap, a little more rarely a tap in one spot registers in a different one. Just as frustratingly, all three buttons on the bottom frequently bring up recent apps instead of back, home and recent apps like they should. I often have to click home a few times to go to the home screen instead of recent apps. Short of buying a new phone, does anyone know a fix? Thanks in advance!
