usb devise not recognised
when i use the usb connector to my new computer the devise isnt recognised

There are a plethora of problems that could be going on here. A little more description as to your problem would be very helpful, but I will try to cover some of the thing to look for. Sometimes USB ports built into computers are not powered so you can try using different ports. First of all, does the iPod lock screen come on when you plug it in, and if so, does it show the charging screen or your wallpaper. If nothing happens then it could be the data cable, the USB port, or the iPod itself. The easiest way to test the data cable and the iPod at the same time is to plug it into a wall charger. Obviously if the device charges normally then it is the computer. If it is your computer that is not working and you are sure the USB port works then try connecting to a different computer to see if it picks up. If it does then there is something going on with your PC or Mac (knowing which one you are using would be helpful in giving you an answer to help you fix the problem).

a computer, no the ipod battery does not come on the computer, and i have a wall charger, it charges on it with no problem, ive tried re installing the usb port but no luck what to do?

lee, it helps if you list what computer you have and what OS you are using. Did your iPod sync with a computer before? More details will narrow it down better for all of us to assist you.
