Why does my nextbook go to homescreen when I try to change settings

'I bought my Nextbook Ares 10A a little over a week ago. When I go to settings and try to make changes, it immediately goes to the home screen. Example: Trying to change wallpaper and it goes to home screen so quickly I don't have time to make a choice. It happens with all settings. Help Please and Thank You'
