Hi,
My iPhone5 is stuck on the support.apple.com/iphone/restore screen when I plug it into the computer. I tried the hard reset ( pushing the Home button and the power button at the same time), then the screen goes black, and nothing happens until I let go of the buttons, and then it goes back to the apple logo support screen. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Try putting it in dfu mode (DFU_ModeDFU MODE), connect it to your computer and restore. Your computer should detect it or try restarting all of the apple processes in task manager and reloading iTunes. Hope this helps.

Yes, when you are in dfu mode it stays in dfu mode and shows a black screen, even when connected or not connected to a computer. Did you try restoring?

I think the problem maybe hardware related have you done any hardware repairs to the device?

Does iTunes detect it?

I dont believe so because when i attach something like my Shuffle, it automatically detects it.
